Cancellation of Accidental Product Purchase
Hello,
I was debating on buying a product and my cursor seemed to be right over the confirm payment option, as I accidentally bought the item.
Realizing this, I quickly requested a cancellation, which I've never done through ebay before, and realized that ebay has this policy of giving sellers 3 business days to either accept or deny my "refund request" based on if they've shipped the item or not.
I very well know that in the 2 minute time frame of my accidentally purchasing and cancelling my order that the seller wouldnt have been able to ship the item, but I am realizing that the seller can utilize the loophole of using their 3 business days of being able to respond to instead, ship my item, and ultimately deny my request.
I really want my money back and am hoping that the seller is a fair person, but they didn't reply to my previous messages regarding general inquiries about the product, either.

Sellers are not obligated to agree to requests to cancel the transaction.
When you receive the item, you can file a Return Request depending on the seller's return policy.

OP11 months agoI understand but I assume that if a user requests a cancel for their order within minutes of placing it, it should be reasonable to accept.
I will go review the sellers return policy in the meantime, thank you.
