Canceling my bid
I want to cancel my bid as my 9-year old son accidentally put a bid ($105) on a trading card and the item also requires $30+ shipping fee and I tried everything to cancel it:
- contacting seller: No luck as he only responds saying NO, not willing to work with me.
- help chatbot: I get the same message I cannot be canceling the order ( i believe it's past the window)
The item has a little less than 3 days until the auction ends and I really need to cancel my bid:
Item number: 166821167645
I don't use eBay typically so I don't know what to do. Please advice.
Thank you
M

·2 years agoThat is not a valid reason to force a cancellation under eBay rules. The seller is under no obligation to "work with" you, and neither not responding nor responding that it's OK with him/her nor that s/he doesn't know how is among the valid reasons. You are responsible for the activity of someone (especially your child) you allow (deliberately or negligently) to have access to your eBay account.

It is up to the Ebay account owner to keep their Ebay account safe.
You are responsible for all activity on your account, so you will be required to pay for the item if the auction ends with your account as the winning bidder.
Change your password immediately and do not let anyone use your Ebay account.
