Canceling an order
A buyer purchased an item-- I printed the label but the buyer sent in email a request to be sent to a different address. I canceled the label-- but the new address is not showing as a valid address on eBay and I went to the post office and not a valid address. I have emailed the buyer several times in the past 36 hours about the situation with no response. At this time -- do I cancel the order? I do not want a negative mark on my account

·1 year agoNever change the address from the one shown on the order (that does not have to be an address registered to the buyer's account, they can input any address at checkout, but you must ship to whatever address is provided to you by eBay and no other address).
If you got a message from a user asking you to change the shipping address for a recent sale, FIRST check that the message actually came from your buyer. If it is from a different user account, report the message and ignore it, and ship to the address on the order.
If it is from your buyer, let them know you can cancel the order and let them repurchase the item with the correct address.
