Canceling a winning bid??
A bidder who won an item from me contacted me almost immediately and said "I don't want the item" which was marked no returns btw. This is insane. I am out eBay fees and time and hassles on this and want the item sold and gone. What is my obligation under eBay rules? To me I should ship her the item and if she wants to she can then auction it off or sell it somewhere.

If you send the item, the buyer will probably file a Return Request with a bogus reason for the return.
Best to cancel the transaction at buyer's request. You will not incur any Ebay fees unless you used an optional listing upgrade.

OP3 years agoThanks. I was afraid of something like that. This person should not be allowed on eBay anymore.
