Canceling A Purchase
I purchased the wrong kind of plant on December 31st and asked for a cancellation. No communication from the seller. After 3 days Ebay stated the seller declined. (The seller just wasn't available to respond right after the holidays.) The seller messaged me back after 3 days regarding my request and said my transaction was cancelled. However, it shows the item is awaiting shipment and no refund was submitted. It appears this may be a new policy that this new seller may not be aware of nor I and the purchase must be shipped. Ebay stated in a generic e-mail I could ask the seller to return it after I receive it. So it looks like Ebay made the decision that it can't be cancelled due to the seller not responding to my cancellation in 3 days. So does this mean the seller is required to ship it to me and it can no longer be cancelled even though they agreed to after 3 days?

Mentor9 months agoIf the seller did not accept your cancellation request, then they are required to ship it regardless of whatever they stated in a message.
If you do not receive it and the estimated date of delivery has passed by at least 1 day, you can file a Refund Request.
Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history
If the seller does not respond to the refund request, after 3 business days you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.
