Canceled Sales
I have had several orders canceled during the past year. Some of the canceled items I have still found listed for sale after the cancelation, even though the reason for cancelation was for "Out of Stock". Once the seller cancels the order the buyer can not post a review for the listing. The seller does not compensate the buyer for the inconvenience of the cancelation. EBay does not penalize the seller for the cancelation. Therefore the seller has no incentive to make the sale right. I believe that Ebay should penalize the seller for a canceled sale and then compensate the buyer for the inconvenience.

·3 years agoeBay does penalize the seller when they cancel a sale. The seller earns a defect and is required to pay the final value fee of the winning bid. Defects affect the seller's selling account and often they lose privileges and pay higher selling fees. There is no compensation for the buyer though.
