eBay calculates different ways for different reporting. It does not report sales where the buyer did not pay to the IRS (it does report sales where the buyer paid even though that payment was later refunded).
I'm assuming you cancelled the transaction after four days with the reason buyer did not pay. It still counts as a sale because it did sell, it just was not paid for. Not sure why you are worried about this. If it is for taxes, eBay reports the gross to you, you fill out a Schedule C, and report the net to the IRS.

OP3 years agoIt really never sold because I was never paid for the item. Therefore the total should not reflect the sale amount.
