Canceled order and refund
Hello,
I sold a bowl set on 8/8/23 to a buyer for $34.99 not including shipping and fee's. Order # 051039342723
Within minutes of purchasing my shipping label to send it out, the buyer contacted me to cancel the order.
I went in and immediately canceled the order and relisted the bowl set.
The bowl set sold later that same day to a different buyer and I purchased another shipping label and sent it out to the new buyer.
I then realized I needed to void my first shipping label and did so then, for some reason I thought when I canceled the order the label would be canceled as well.
Yesterday 8/9/23 I got a message from the first buyer saying that the order does not show as being canceled and to please check into it.
When I click on cancel order button it says "Cancelation Exists"
When I click on "See cancel details button" it says "This order still active"
I then marked this item as "Not been shipped" thinking that might solve the problem since it was still showing as been shipped to the first buyer.
Is this normal to have a canceled order show BOTH statuses??
My bank now shows that payout is pending from the first buyer and I will refund as soon as funds are available.
But, I need this order canceled, and my label purchase refunded and I can't find anyway to contact Ebay...

Mentor3 years agoYou have to void the unused shipping label manually yourself within five days here:

Did you cancel the transaction, or did you just refund? If you cancelled the refund is automatic and status will update when buyers refund clears his account. If you just refunded, you will not be able to cancel until the refund clears. Note that if the buyer's payment hasn't cleared your account, you will have to front the refund until it does.

OP3 years agoI immediately canceled the order, then the next day I voided the shipping label.
The buyers payment went through and payout was sent to my account anyway.
So I refunded her whole amount, but have not gotten refunded for the cost of my shipping label $21.60 as of yet.
