canceled auction and ebay charges a fee?
Since when does ebay charge a fee when you cancel an auction? I listed an item with no reserve, I received a bid on the item but canceled the auction days before it was to end and was never paid for the item which I sold locally. ebay is charging me a fee of about 12% just as if I had sold the item through there platform. This is probably the last straw for me............

Ebay clearly states that they charge a selling fee when the seller cancels an auction with bids.
Per Ebay: "You may end the listing by cancelling all bids. You may be charged a final value fee based on the amount of the highest bid, "

"Because we understand that sometimes it may be necessary to end a listing early, we don't charge a fee for the first auction-style listing you end early (where a fee applies) per calendar year (January 1 to December 31)."............
This is the first auction I have cancelled this year........thus I shouldn't be charged a fee.
