Cancelation system is being abused by buyers!
There is now an increase in spam accounts with no feedback making offers then 1 or 2 hours later cancelling and lying about why they are cancelling, or not paying within the 4 days, It's to easy for them to do.
Also now many are paying for items then asking me afterwards to mark as gift, then claiming they won't afford it due to high customs charges, so that's evidence alone that they knew they would have to customs on the item. There is no excuse as all the information is on the ebay help file on the website for buyers and it does state that taxes could be due in your country that buyer has to pay.

So it's all there, i suppose the buyers think it's fun to give sellers hope of a sale, it's happening more & more.
but buyers ask to cancel using a false reason when they have just messaged me to ask if I can mark as gift, then when I refuse they say sorry I will need to cancel as customs taxes are to high.
I had a word with ebay yesterday when the a member yet again asked me to do this and they stated that if a buyer asks such a thing then it's immediate account shut down, yet I reported the message and this morning they have now asked to cancel yet again same reason given that it was wrong payment details.
It's asking me if i want to accept or decline, i'm not sure if I decline if ebay are going to give me the chance to say why i'm declining and provide evidence proof of what they asked me to do whihc is basically illegal and asking me to perform criminal activity by falsifying a customs document. I know ebay can see the messages.
but this is becoming to much now! i think cancellations should not be allowed if buyer then tries to ask seller to mark as gift after they paid, or says in a message I want to cancel because customs fees to high. It's to easy for them to select a false reason why they are cancelling especially when they have pm'd you telling you why they really want to cancel.
