Cancel or Void shipping label?

Question

I purchased a shipping label. I decided to repack the box, and was able to get the weight down. I canceled the first label and repurchased a second label. Should I have voided the first label, I didn't see an option for this. If understand what I read the refund will come from USPS, correct?

I still consider myself a newbie.

@texasgems To request a shipping label refund, you will need to go your Shipping Labels page and cancel the unused label. Your should then see the refund in approximately 21 days.

You can void/ cancel the label within 28 days of purchasing it from the actions drop down menu next to the label on this page>

Note, eBay Standard Envelope shipping labels can not be canceled
