cancel item ordered
I canceled an item ordered before it was shipped. the seller ignored my request and denied it. On there it says clearly says canceled orders are permitted.

Buyers can request a cancellation, but only the seller can actually cancel the transaction because usually only the seller is in a position to know if the item has been shipped or not.
And not all sellers are one-person operations that have absolute control over when items are shipped, and can simply withhold a package from the post office because of a last minute message from a buyer.
If the seller is using a drop-shipping service, even if the item has not officially shipped, the seller may not be able to cancel once the order is in the hands of the drop-shipping service.

Mentor2 years agoThe seller can still deny the cancellation, even though ebay has made cancellations a lot easier to accept.
