cancel a sale because I made a mistake
I made an error when sending an offer to an interested buyer. I must have clicked on the wrong box - I intended to offer him 20% discount but apparently clicked the box that offered him the $95 shoes for $23.00. I need to cancel the sale. Any suggestions?

As painful as it is to lose $72, I would ship, and have done the same before myself.
Cancelling a sale because you don't want to sell it is a big defect on your account, and will likely cost you more than $72. At the bottom I explain about defects.
To cancel the sale
Website
https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold
To the right you should be able to select Cancel Sale from the drop down list.
Chose the reason 'Out of Stock'
(apologize to the buyer who will be disappointed)
App
Selling Icon at the bottom
> Orders
> Click on the order title to reach Order Details
>At the bottom blue drop down list, select Cancel Order and follow the steps.

About Defects and Below Standard
Cancelling a sale for being out of stock is one of the major defects on a seller's account.
You need fewer than 2% of your transactions to have defects, which are
✓ Transactions you canceled for being out of stock
✓ Cases closed without seller resolution
The only solution is to increase the denominator - the number of sales
One way to do that is to find something inexpensive to sell and list it very inexpensively so you sell a number of them quickly. That will raise the denominator and thus lower the percentage of defects.
Example
4 defects/ 100 sales = 4%
4 defects/200 sales = 2%
The consequences of falling Below Standard can include:
- Your items may be placed lower in search results
- eBay may limit or restrict you from selling on your account and related accounts, or from registering a new account
- Funds from your sales may be held
- You'll be charged a higher percentage rate for final value fees
--- You will be blocked from using the Promoted Listings tool, and will not be able to create new campaigns or edit existing campaigns
- eBay may downgrade your eBay Store to the Basic level if you've been Below Standard for more than 60 days
- You'll be unable to access the partial refund tool

If your account doesn't meet the minimum seller performance standards for the US in the evaluation on the 20th of the month, you'll be charged an additional 6% on the final value fees applicable to sales in the following calendar month. Go to your Seller Dashboard to check your current seller level.
