Cancel a sale
Have never done this before, was not familiar with the way this happened and did not realize the amount of fees that came out of the selling price and I’m not willing to sell the item at that price and another method will be used. I would like to cancel the item. The buyer is OK with the situation and has opted to go a different direction as well. Just need to return his money to him or have you return his money to him because I have not collected it and I will not be collecting it. We are not selling the item. So what do I do?

Go to the sold item and cancel the sale from the drop down menu next to the item>

This starts the refund process>
Refunds, even for order cancellations, come out of your available funds not pending or held. If you do not have available funds then eBay charges your back up payment method for selling costs.
Have you entered your backup payment method for selling costs here: https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list Select Manage under the method you want to use then select Preferred for selling costs. I use a credit card.
Once you issue the refund and the buyers funds are released from being held or finish processing then the buyers payment is released to you.
You will need to contact eBay customer service for assistance if you have any problems with the refund process.
eBay agents are working from home so you have to request a call back or live chat.
