Canadian Customs opened a shipment to the buyer and removed items
Hi everyone.
I'm a seller here on Ebay. Recently, my shipment to Canada (books and playing cards shipped via Ebay's international hub) was opened mid-shipment. The cards were removed and presumably stolen. The books were repackaged clumsily and forwarded to the buyer. The buyer was charged full customs fees, despite the most valuable items being removed from the shipment. Now I'm out a huge sum because of the missing cards, while the buyer is out a big chunk of money despite not receiving most of their order.
Is there any recourse for this kind of thing?
