Can you split payments on auctions?
I am bidding on an expensive item, if I win I'll have to split the payment. Is it possible?

Mentor11 months agoeBay will allow a payment to be split between two credit cards, but the option is limited to items over $500, and not every listing may qualify:

PayPal also has an option to split payments, but there are restrictions on that as well.

Mentor11 months agoYou are very welcome. Although there was a brief period where it was possible to split very low value transactions between different credit cards, even if you are in the habit of buying items worth more than $500, it is still very easy to miss the little "split" toggle that appears at the top of the cart at checkout. I do not think eBay has gone out of its way to publicize it at all.

You cannot split payments between 2 credit cards.
You could purchase eBay gift cards, then use your other credit card for the balance. Given the problems we see reported with gift cards, I don’t think I would suggest this.
If you do decide on gift cards, there are limits on how much you can use in a single day and month -
