Can use help and not able to reach Ebay by phone
Greetings Everyone - I will try my best to make this short. I am so done right now. Here goes.
1. Purchased a luxury bag from a seller on 12/4/2023
2. The bag went to eBay Authentication and passed.
3. Item authenticated 12/7/2023
4. The item went through all of the USPS stations
5. Received a notice that I would receive the package early, 12/9/2023 and someone had to be home to sign for it. The original scheduled date was 12/15/2023
6. I decided to take off work to receive the package. Stayed home ALL day and absolutely nothing arrived and there was no notice left. I saw the update on the website. I called USPS and made them aware that I was home all day long and NO notice was left. I took off to specifically get this item. She apologized and said if you do not receive it tomorrow, to give them a callback.
7. The next day when I returned from work there was a notice saying that delivery had been attempted. This was 12/10/2023. However, the date of the attempt was 12/9/2023.
8. I did reschedule to have it delivered on 12/12/2023 because usually, it is not very busy on Tuesdays.
9. Waited and waited and nothing!
10. Yesterday, I decided to go to the post office and just receive the package. I got there at 7:30 a.m. and was told that pick-up does not start until 11:00 a.m.
11. I went to a couple of places and picked up some breakfast.
12. Returned at 10:40 a.m. and the line was backed out the door! I see a sign that says, Pick Up Window. I go over there and wait and wait and wait. Also, there was only one person at the window where the long line was located.
13. I saw a postman coming out of the side door and I told him my ordeal. He said that the person who handled it from the beginning was out sick. He took the slip and went to the back for about 10 minutes and said he was unable to locate it. He took my number and said he will call me tomorrow.
14. He called me at about 10:00 a.m. this morning and said he was still unable to locate it. When he previously took the slip I saw through the door and it was a horrified mess with boxes!!!!!! So, I guess I can kinda understand. But he would continue to try and locate it.
15. My question is this, when ebay authentication ships the item to the seller, is the box identifiable? Not sure if it would be in a regular brown box or not. I just wanted to give him something that could be easily identifiable.
I am so sorry about this long detail of occurrences, I am just looking for help and I can not seem to get through to a ebay representative to ask that question.
ANY, ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I just don't know what to do 😞
