Can someone tell me why I am being discriminated against in listing an item?
I posted a new battery charger for sale. I did claim, appropriately that it is for mobility scooter. I didn't cite it was a vendor item (generic charger with standard connection). It got flagged. I called eBay and was told something vague about not allowed. I had looked it up and there are restrictions on medical devices and other, and thought maybe it needed different wording. I told the rep of others. 'Can you provide me with an example?' I told him to do a search and you'll pull up 500. He did and saw and told me to appeal and it'll get relisted.
I appealed and just got the denial.
Before I call Philippines again, can someone tell me what I did wrong?

Mentor5 months ago@baydealz I understand that this is frustrating, however do NOT relist the item even if an agent says it ok.
The agents can not reset the bots that have flagged your account for this item so it will just get taken down again then you can be suspended.
The other listings just have not been caught yet.

OP5 months agoThanks, fine with me when not wanted. I don't really even care. It'd be nice if they gave a reason, but their inconsistency shouts volumes: the rep said to appeal 'and it'll probably automatically be relisted,' instead I got a note saying "Upon further review, we’re unable to grant your appeal because the listings aren’t following our Product safety policy. We have reviewed your case and have decided to remove the hold placed on this listing."
Denied but removed hold, what does that mean?
No further details or ways to contact anyone, I'm picking up my marbles and going home.

OP5 months agoThanks, I did get through to see what the violation was, they claim it's because I didn't cite UL-listing...that's a new one to me, especially since I don't see that in other listings of chargers.
It's just a machine, most times you just get lucky, but my sales are outliers so I'm tripping up the machine, and me. Back to the conviction that eBay thinks they are Amazon, at the seller's risk and expense.
