Can someone have 15 bidding sites going at the same time for the same item?
Summary: googad60 raised a concern about a seller offering multiple bids on an item using the same image for separate auctions, leading to potential confusion. eburtonlab explained that the seller is likely auctioning individual items from a lot separately but is using the same image for each listing, which could cause misunderstandings. googad60 expressed frustration with the approach, noting that the seller had not clarified the situation despite being contacted, and advised caution.
Hello. There is a seller,
rivieraempress
that has 15 bidding sites opened on this item:
Vintage HO-Scale Super Shot Carnival Ride Lot-11 NR
Starting bids range from $9 to $75. I have made a bid for $9 on the $9 one. If no one else bids, do I win the bidding?

It appears that that seller is selling individual items from that lot in separate auctions, but (unwisely) using the same picture for each listing. Compare the titles of each auction to the picture. There are several "sold" auctions as well.
By showing an image including multiple items that are not included in the auction, the seller is inviting confusion and possibly some "not as described" returns from disappointed buyers that are expecting to receive the entire lot rather than just the individual pieces.

OP1 month agoOk. Crappy way to sell. I contacted the seller and they said nothing of the individual items. I approached the bids as the entire lot that was pictured and the seller did not deny that or explain that the represented picture of items was broken down for individual sale. Usually, the seller has breakdown when you go to pay, and it is clearly stated that it items are sold individually. I say beware of this one.
Thank you.
