Can sellers change price during active bidding?
I was actively bidding with a seller and she changed the price of the item. Is that permitted? She added $1,000.00 to the buy it now price. It was offered as buy it now or make an offer. We were going back and forth on the price.

·3 months agoWhen you said you were “actively bidding” it sounded like it was an auction, so I’m glad you clarified that it wasn’t.
If you’re simply negotiating over messages, that is not a binding process, so, Yes, the seller can still do whatever they want with the listing.

OP3 months agoI clicked on the make an offer option. We weren’t messaging. We were actively sending each other counter offers. Does this make sense?

Mentor3 months agoPlease keep in mind that eBay will not allow unlimited offers and counter offers to be made. At some point they will stop the offer option and no more offers from you will be allowed.
