Mentor2 years agoUnfortunately eBay policy is that any item that sells for $1,000 or more will have the funds held for 30 days since they had trouble over the years with high value items. There is no way around this hold no matter what the rep may have said to you. Positive feedback will not get the funds released given the value of the item.

Ebay decides when the payout holds can be removed.
New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while learning best selling practices. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. New sellers typically experience holds for up to 30 days, although sometimes it may be longer

OP2 years agoI am not new to eBay I've been with them for 7 years. They are telling me that because the item that was purchased has such a high price tag that I have to wait for the buyer to send in a positive feedback message before they release my funds otherwise I have to wait until after the weekend. I messaged the buyer and he doesn't believe that this is a thing when that's exactly what I was told by multiple eBay associates. I'm so upset by this because my family needs help more then ever especially after the devastating loss we experienced this weekend with our house fire and the multiple tornadoes m

Mentor2 years ago@posperousparkerI didn't say that you were new to Ebay. You are a new/infrequent seller, therefore your payouts are subject to hold.
