Can I upgrade an old-style PERSONAL account to a modern PERSONAL account?
I have PERSONAL account goldenlinnet (936)
on which I list UK postcards.
It is a good, modern account.

I also have PERSONAL account wilmilv_0 (311)
on which I want to list 1,000 French postcards
but it is an old-style dreadful account. There is no BULK SELL SIMILAR feature for example.
And every other feature is time-consuming and awkward.

I could open yet another email account
which would then allow me to open a new eBay account
but I would really prefer not to.

Is there any way I can keep the existing email address that I am using for wilmilv_0 (311)
and upgrade that old PERSONAL account to a modern PERSONAL account?

When you go to create a new listing on that account, is there an option on the upper right corner to upgrade to an advanced/business listing account?

OP2 years agoI am sure there is the facility to upgrade an old-style PERSONAL account to a BUSINESS account or a SHOP.
However that is not what I asked.

I have a PERSONAL account that is functioning WAY BELOW the standard that sellers are reasonably entitled to expect today, yet I am being charged exactly the same fees as users are being charged for an ACCEPTABLE STANDARD personal account.

Your idea that I should pay £25pm more than PERSONAL ACCOUNT holders, in order to achieve the same level of performance that they get for free, is not the answer I was hoping for.

I have been selling part-time on eBay since the 1990s. I have known about 100 other eBay sellers. And only 3 of them EVER earned more than minimum wage. One person filled his house with car parts, and the other two had offline retail shops that they moved online.
