can I ship comic books media mail
Need to know if i can use media mail to ship comic books. And how do I list the comics to use media mail for shipping Thanks

As a fellow comic book seller I know how frustrating it is to see other sellers violating postal code to ship comics media mail.
I also use Pirateship .com for lots of 20-25 comics that I can shipping in a 11x 8x 3 or 4 inches and save at least $7 on shipping using Priority Cubic rate that they offer.
Smaller lots can ship in a bubble flat rate.
Depending on the era of the comic you can ship 3 to 4 at least using 1st class with eBay labels for up to 15.9 or send it a very unhappy buyer with postage due.

Mentor3 years agoI agree most comic books do not meet the standard for media mail because they have ads. But there are ones that do not have those ads, so should qualify.

Mentor3 years ago@rfmtm The only comics that I have ever seen that don't have ads are graphic novels or some manga and they have an ISBN so they qualify as a book.

·3 years agoI agree if no ads but how would you get around that if there were no ads but they're a periodical? Published in volumes or in sequence?

Mentor3 years ago@fab_finds4u Comics that are published in volumes are book format and don't have ads, and have ISBN's.
All comics are published in sequence and are basically a periodical as they come out monthly or even have annual special issues.

Mentor3 years agoThe key to whether or not you can ship comic book related material via Media Mail is that it may Not contain advertising, but there is one exception. In general, comic books do not meet this requirement. However, if the comic book contains incidental announcements of other comic books and no other advertisements then it would meet these requirements and be okay for media mail.
