Can I pay extra to have the authentication process for a Japan purchase?
I want to purchase something from Japan but do not see the authenticity guaranteed icon. Is there any way I can pay extra so it goes through the authentication process?

Currently, eBay does not offer an option for buyers to pay extra to include the Authenticity Guarantee for items that are not already eligible. This program is automatically applied to items based on specific categories, price ranges, and seller participation.
If the listing doesn’t display the Authenticity Guarantee badge, it means the item likely doesn’t meet the program’s criteria.
To learn more, you can check out eBay's Authenticity Guarantee page.
For confidence in your purchase, you can:
If you’re unsure, you can also refer to eBay’s buyer protection policies.
I hope this helps, and good luck with your purchase from Japan!

Mentor1 year ago@jko.sportscards No there is not a way to add it. If the Authenticity Guarantee is not on the listing then it doesn't qualify for the program. Most international sales do NOT qualify.
Watches are the only item that MAY qualify for sellers in Japan.

You are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee but returns to other countries can be a bit tricky. If you do purchase and need to return an item reply back to this post and I can walk you through the steps.
