Can I issue a partial refund without the buyer cancelling the order?
I noticed some spots while I was packaging their order. I contacted the buyer to let them know and ask if they still wanted it. They asked for a partial refund of five dollars. Ebay doesn't seem to allow me to do that unless she cancels the order. So is there any way to refund without her cancelling? She wants to keep the item but just wants a discount. Thank you!

OP1 year agoThanks for replying! I did try that, but it took fees out and wound up being $4.22 I think. It also indicated the item was only worth that amount, $4.22, but it was $20. So, do I have to refund her 78 cents more in total in order to bypass the fees? I guess I then eat the fees, right?

Mentor1 year ago@thrif_109 eBay will make up the rest of the $5. eBay refunds the buyer the sales tax and credits you for the sellers fees on the portion that you refunded.

I am not sure what screen you are looking at. What does it show on the orders detail page?
