Can I filter out USPS shipping?
Is there a way to filter out carrier services when looking to purchase a item? I wash my hand of the incompetence of USPS and do not want them involved in any purchases I make in the future. If a seller doesn't offer a alternative shipping method then I won't order from them. It would be so much easier if I were able to just filter out any sellers that only offer USPS as a option. Thanks in advance.

With daily shipping through USPS for 22 years, I've shipped over 78,000 eBay orders. I haven't had a lost package yet. I've had only one arrive damaged, but that was due to a manufacturing problem - not due to USPS.
I'd be interested in what problems you have with USPS. Perhaps we can recommend a solution so that you don't have to limit your options.

Mentor5 days agoebay has no way to filter out carriers that a seller uses. Once you find an item you wish to purchase, if the carrier is not specified on the listing, you can click SEE DETAILS to see additional information for shipping. You may then see that the seller does offer additional carriers for shipping.
For the light weight items that I sell, using USPS is the least expensive, and the most convenient for me to use. However, if a buyer wanted me to use Fed Ex or UPS, and willing to pay extra, I would find out how much it would cost to use that carrier, and revise the listing.

OP4 days agoThank you for the response and information. You seem to have way better luck w/ USPS then I have. Constantly being delayed, missing packages, mis-routing to add more delay, poor customer service, etc. The last package from them sat at the PO it was received at for the entire 5 day window ( ground advantage ) before even moving to a hub in the same state (NC.). No tracking or anything for well over a week so I submitted a missing package claim as directed by my local post master. A few days after it showed up in (IN.) with a updated delivery date ( that again passed) and notification that it's running later than expected. Then it sat there for 5 or 6 more days before tracking updated again that it left the facility finially. Being it was only 6 hours from it's destination I trusted the new delivery window stating " expected delivery tomorrow " that again didn't happen and no new tracking. A couple more days and then tracking updated that it was now in (NJ) which is on the opposite side of my state from (IN). Already running weeks late they took it 350miles past its destination where it has again been sitting for days w/ no update activity and " estimate delivery unknown ". I live in near Pittsburgh PA which is way closer to (IN.) than (NJ) is from there so they basically overshot its destination. I am always experiencing this type of service and I paid $30 shipping for this terrible service. I have problems like this frequently with them and just don't want to bother with them anymore. It seems as if letters and such are more their speed rather packages. Thank you again for the response, it's much appreciated.
