·2 years agoNo. The user was kicked off by eBay (it is not possible for a user to voluntarily un-register while s/he still has obligations like a pending bid, it takes weeks of no action before it can take effect) AFTER s/he placed the bids.
When will/did the auction end? eBay will sometimes "administratively cancel" the pending bids of a NARU'd user if there is still time remaining in the auction, but once the auction has ended there can be no bid cancellations and the results are set in stone (e.g. silicon in eBay servers).

OP2 years agoThe auction ended last night I was bidding on my phone and did not look at the history. Only 1 or 2 of the bidders seemed legitimate. Went from 4700-6k with the unregistered bidder alone.

No, an unregistered member cannot place bids, but eBay may have removed him after he made the bids and the listing ended.

Mentor2 years agoBids can only be placed by registered users.
Likely what happened is that the user was registered and placed several bids, and later was removed by eBay for some policy violation.
