Can a seller do this
Yesterday I want an auction for a purse the seller canceled my order saying that the item was out of stock or damaged, then relist it the same purse double the price what can I do? Can the seller do that?

There's no practical way to stop it . . . the first couple of times. If the seller does it repeatedly, eBay will drop a brick on his head. Metaphorically. Actually, if the seller makes a habit of it, he will get suspended, perhaps forever. Shake the dust off your feet and move on. Good luck.

Yes, the Seller can do that although it is a rather poor business decision and they received a bad strike on their account for cancelling like that.
I suspect that they are a newer Seller and don't know how to value their items and set their Auction starting price at an amount that covers their cost, eBay fees and most importantly, their profit.
If they keep doing that their account will receive restrictions and-or suspension.
Really sorry that happened to you.

OP3 weeks agoWow I’m really disappointed I didn’t think that were able to lie about the reason for cancelling, then relist the same item 😩

Sadly, that can happen by both Sellers and Buyers. There are literally MILLIONS of Sellers on eBay, too bad you found one of the bad ones.
