Are you asking if it is possible for a buyer to scam a seller? The answer is yes.

You can minimize the chances -- though probably cannot eliminate the possibility entirely -- by following some simple steps and being sure not to violate eBay policies.

Keep all communication on eBay; do not share contact information, even if a potential buyer asks for more photos or video.

Do not ship until eBay indicates you have been paid; never rely on an email, or use a link from an email. Go directly to ebay.com using your browser and check your account directly.

Only ship to the address that was provided to eBay with the payment; do not change it even if the buyer specifically requests it. If you are sure you are dealing the the original buyer and not a scammer impersonating the buyer, you can choose to cancel the transaction at the buyer's request and relist to allow the buyer to purchase again and provide the correct address with the new payment.

Even if you follow all the rules, it is still possible for a buyer to purchase, pay, receive your item, then request a refund and return a box of rocks or else dispute the transaction with a credit card company and keep the money and your item, so be careful selling expensive, in-demand items.
