can 2 separate items be combined into a single shipment
I had a buy it now and an auction item that the same person won nd paid for - including shipments. Can I combine both items into a single shipment? or must I ship separately. If I could combine them, I would offer to reimburse the buyer for the difference in the total shipping cost of what was paid and what my actual cost was. One caveat - I bought and printed the label for the lighter of the 2 packages already - do not know if the post office will ship 7.9 ounces (the weight of everything) on a label that only covers 6 ounces.

Mentor1 year agoYes you can do that if you create your shipping labels in Ebay or elsewhere.
If you do them elsewhere. Package the two orders together, create one label from the vendor you use outside of Ebay, then make sure you come back and load the tracking number on BOTH orders.
In Ebay Go to your orders.
In the ACTION column, put a check mark in the box to the left of each item you want to ship together. [they have to be going to the same address per the buyer's payment].
Then click the Shipping icon above.
Next page now select the items to be shipped together again and make sure the size and weight of the package is correct.
The review the charges and you can then create the shipping label.
Now excuse me if I'm slightly off on any of this as I'm doing it from memory. But it is easy to do.
This happens all the time for me and I also refund my buyer for the overage, however I'm NOT as generous as you are as I do NOT refund what I need to cover the fees on the shipping. I'm not willing to lose money on this. I round off my refunds too. Odd cents don't mean as much to someone else as some seem to think.
I also always send a message to my customer telling them I'm refunding them because I combined the shipment. I also tell them that the refund in the future can be higher if they purchase the items in a single payment as there are less fees. Don't forget you paid 40 cents in the per transaction fee for that second payment. I don't refund that either.
Come on back and ask me anything you might need to.

·1 year agoIf you overpaid on the shipment label, for USPS it makes no difference. But when you Underday for a Shipment due to incorrect weight, size, etc then it matters.
