Can’t dispute USPS shipping label adjustment — eBay purchased label
I received a notification about a USPS shipping label adjustment after purchasing a label through eBay. It was an overpayment correction (USPS claims the actual package weight was lower than declared, and they issued a credit).
I wanted to double-check this adjustment and possibly dispute it, so I followed the USPS link provided (apvdisputes.usps.com) and tried to submit a dispute.
However, when I entered the required information, I received the error:
"Dispute is not valid. Please contact your postage provider to confirm your information."
I contacted USPS, and they told me that since the label was purchased through a third party (eBay), only the postage provider can submit the dispute on my behalf.
What should I do now? How can I have this adjustment reviewed or disputed if necessary? Is there a way to reach someone at eBay who handles USPS postage issues?

Mentor1 year ago@anna-kapustina I am confused. If they issued a credit then why are you trying to dispute? I can understand disputing if they wanted to charge you more.

If you think these adjustments are incorrect, you can contact USPS Customer Care at 1-844-819-5187 or verifypostagehelp@usps.gov to open a dispute. Make sure you have the IMPB and Revenue Assurance ID below to identify the adjustment. USPS will respond within 5-15 business days.
