Hello I am a seller and sold a camera that is very valuable. I required a signature for the delivery. The buyer contacted me to inquire why I did that and I replied that it is for his protection as well as mine. The buyer was not home when the package was delivered. And contacted me to let me know that he had put his cousins name on the package and would not be able to pick it up from the post office. He said he was going to send his aunt to try and pick it up. I let him know that they ( USPS ) would be re delivering the package in a couple of days. His reponsed with " if he could not pick it up he would have to have it returned to sender " The whole experience is a big RED FLAG to me. And I am so glad I protected myself with a signature required. I do not accept returns. However would rather get my item back than be out of these funds. The buyers feedback is very good. How do we get scamers kicked off ebay ? It's so unfair to sellers

Even though eBay requires a signature on items sold for $750+, it's always a good idea to add to your description that the item will be shipped with Signature Required. Many people are not home during the day and need to make arrangements to get their package. I don't believe that automatically makes them a scammer.
As for the Buyer's feedback: unless this Buyer is also a Seller, all Buyers have 100% positive feedback. In the meantime, you could go on the USPS site and sign up for tracking updates via text or email. That will notify you each time the package is scanned. That is different than a missing mail request.
Besides Signature Required, did you also purchase additional insurance?
