Calculating shipping.
I am trying to list a sofa for sale. I need to put in shipping details so I get an idea of cost for delivery. I keep putting in the requested dimensions and weight in appropriate boxes, but the numbers change themselves when I try to post, and I keep getting an error. This keeps me from posting my listing. Also, I only see options for UPS, FedEx, etc. Is there a freight option?

Odds are, unless it is an antique or especially valuable, you won’t be able to offer a reasonable shipping cost. You could call a nationwide moving company and find out what it would cost to send it from your location to a city a reasonable distance away. That will give you an idea of the cost and what it will take to get it shipped. You can’t use ups or fedex for a sofa.
You can select freight, but that means that you contract with a local freight hauler or moving company - there is no calculated option, since you work with a local carrier.

If you ship it and the buyer files an INAD, you'll have to pay return shipping.
