Calculated shipping
I have been complaining for some time that calculated shipping is not updated to Post Office. When I make my listings for example the item weighs 2lbs 3oz and is in 8x6x6 box Select Ground USPS it shows $7.73-$11.95 depending on where it is going. When I complete my listing and go to the listing page it may say Buy it Now price $12.99+5.50 shipping (it should never be lower than my lowest charge) and when it sells the buyer is charged $6.10 and I have actual charges of $8.45. I have now lost $2.35 of my profit on a $13 dollar item plus eBay fees on the $8.45 shipping cost. I have given ebay several actual examples. One representative told me it's a on-going problem affecting alot of sellers and to keep track of charges to get reimbursed and the next person tells me they've never heard of such a problem. Now today calculated shipping won't even work for my new listings, it's telling me to fill in what I want to charge. I have doubled checked and I have it set to calculate but it's not. Someone please help

Mentor3 years agoThe price spread when listing is the retail rate. The price the buyer pays depends on whether your preferences are set to pass along you ebay discounts. The $8.45 looks like maybe retail you paid at the post office.
For you example, what is the to and from Zip Codes?

OP3 years agoWhy would I being paying retail postage. If listing through eBay I should be getting the discount

Mentor3 years agoYes, as stated if you buy your label through ebay, you get the discount. However, you still have the option to share or not share this discount with the buyer.
Need the additional information to see why you are seeing something different.
