Buying Watches from Japan
Hi everyone,
I'm considering buying a vintage Tudor chronograph from a seller in Japan through eBay.
At checkout, eBay shows an estimated import fee, and it says it's the final amount due at checkout.
For those of you in the U.S. who have actually bought watches from Japan through eBay recently:
Was the process smooth?
Did you end up paying anything beyond what eBay charged at checkout?
Did FedEx, DHL, UPS, or Customs contact you for any additional payments or paperwork?
Would you recommend buying this way, or have you run into unexpected issues?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your real-world experiences before pulling the trigger.
