Buying on behalf of someone else

Question

Hello, I wanted to know whether it is allowed to use your own personal account to buy something for someone else.

Let's say my parents want to buy something but they do not want to use eBay. Can I use my personal account (which I have already used to buy things with my own information), add their address and payment information, and just buy something for them? Or do they NEED to create their own accounts and add their information?

English is not my first language, so if something is not clear please let me know and I can try to rephrase it.

You can purchase items using your account and have them shipped to your parents. You change the ship to address at checkout.

You can not add their payment information to your account, you would have to pay for the item and then have them send the money to you. If this does not work for you then they would need to create their own account to purchase and pay for their items.
