Buying label when ebay is witholding funds
Hi, I have never sold on ebay before so they are withholding my funds until January 2nd. They want me to ship my item by the 6th. However, I don't have any money(that's why I'm selling this item) to ship this out of pocket. It's an embroidery machine with lots of parts so shipping will not be cheap. Can I access those funds for the shipping label or am I SOL?

Mentor2 years agoYes, as long as you buy your label through eBay, you can pay for it using your held funds.
Make sure you add signature confirmation, and insure the full amount. Shipping will cost you a bit more, but you don’t want to lose your beautiful machine.
Pack it like it is going to be tossed down a flight of stairs - lots of packing materials.

Sales over $ 1,000.00 have the funds held for 30 days. If you do not ship within your handling time you will get a late shipping defect.
You will have to borrow money from someone to cover your shipping costs and pay them back once your funds are released. Or put the cost on a credit card.
