Buying from china
I won a product and I have received this email from the seller reading shipping to mexico then to me in the United States to avoid the tariff. I won’t get the item till 2 months. Is this fraud?

Mentor1 year ago@andlub_64 Yes it's illegal to avoid custom duties. If they ship directly to you then YOU pay 30% tariff. Mexico has a possible 30% tariff starting August 1st.
Tell the seller to cancel the sale as buyer requested and refund you NOW or that you will file a refund request when the item is late arriving.
You can file a refund request when it is one day PAST the last estimated delivery date . If tracking shows movement I recommend waiting a week or so for postal service delays.
You have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to file a refund request on eBay.

Then state that the seller is using package misdirection to avoid tariffs.

Mentor1 year ago@andlub_64 I just found out that if the item is Made in China a Tariff will still be due when importing the item to the US from any other country.
