Buying experience
I bought a montblanc pen from a seller. It was paid for and then i got a message from seller saying the pen was damage and i should cancel the order. I tried to cancel but ebay wouldn’t let me so i let the seller know.
the seller was able to cancel but he said it was the buyer (me) who canceled the order and not that the pen was damaged. Why would he do that - to me it makes me look bad at canceling an order when it was the seller who actually canceled the order after i had paid. Ebay has scheduled a refund.

The seller wanted probably a cancellation without getting a defect.
They had to cancel for the reason 'out of stock'.
You can report the seller, go to https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/resolving-issues-sellers/report-issue-seller?id=4022
Chose "They do not intend to complete the sale".
And then "The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies".
And then "Seller doesn’t want to complete the sale".
On page 3 you also can tell what happened and which seller was involved.

He wanted you to request to cancel so he could avoid a defect for not shipping after getting paid. Since you did not ask to cancel and you did not agree or want to cancel report him.
