Buyers with no intent to pay
Anyone have trouble with winners of auctions who have no intention of paying?
Seems like a scammer wouldn’t care if their scammer account was banned for non-payment.
I ask because after first sale I got a message from a scammer trying to convince me they paid the “buy now†price AFTER the auction ended. The actual winner of the auction never paid and wouldn’t respond to me. Re-listed and the winner the second time was the scammer from the first auction (who tried to convince me they paid the “buy now†price). They now will not respond to my messages for payment.
Is there something I can do to avoid these fake buyers? I am paying for the “promoted†auction so I’m not really happy forking over $3 each week just for the opportunity to avoid being scammed…

If a buyer hasn't paid by day five, select the cancellation option in the dropdown next to the order using the reason that the buyer hasn't paid. The buyer will earn an unpaid item strike on his account. Two or more and his ability to buy will be limited or even ended.
Add the buyer to your blocked buyer list here:

Scroll down that page and turn on the option to auto-block buyers with 2 or more unpaid items within 12 months. That will help to protect you from repeat offenders.
You can avoid this problem by listing as fixed price (no auctions, no offers), with the Immediate Payment Required option turned on.
