Buyers wanting to cancel after shipment
I have been away from Ebay for awhile. To many hassles back in the day and with other reselling platforms coming out I decided to switch. I came back to ebay now that I have extra time to sell a few things.
I sold a shirt the other day. The buyer made an offer and I accepted and was immediately paid. I live within a mile of post office so I was able to ship almost within an hour of payment. About two hours later I get several emails. First one only says hi. Suspicious already. Second one ask for a refund. Third one explains the buyer meant to purchase two ties from me. Fourth email shows the images of ties. Fifth email explains they do not know how their phone made an offer on the shirt when it was meant for ties. Sixth asking full refund. It was free shipping on the shirt totaling I think around 7.50.
I emailed them back and said I would not refund the item because it is in transit. Thats like losing product and money and shipping. I told them when they get item to take it up with ebay.
So much for ebay, this is exactly the thing I dont need or want in reselling. The whole thing seems sketchy.
Any advise or am I in the end going to be out shipping? Will ebay side with buyer like they always seem to?
