Buyers Shipping Address Not Accepted by Shipping Company
An Item I listed sold, but the buyers provided ship to address exceeds the number of characters allowed by the selected shipping service (USPS). Also, the name of the ship to address includes "(Turks and Caicos Islands)". It appears to be shipping to a Florida address, but this additional naming suggests that it is staging location to ship outside of the country.
I sent a message via ebay to request buyer to correct the shipping address, but have not rec'd a response or correction.
I believe that I can modify the shipping address from "(Turks and Caicos Islands)" to "(Turks + Caicos Islands)" and the USPS will accept, but when I modified, eBay issued the following message: "You may not be covered by the eBay Seller Protection Policy if you send to a different address."
I believe that the risk is on me if I modify, and in the mean time I am past due in shipping the item.
Please provide recommendations on how to proceed and also how contact ebay to get formal guidance.
