Buyer’s package was stolen wants me to claim
I was contacted by a buyer that let me know their package was stolen from the place my carrier placed at their front door. I sent them screen shots and a picture of the delivery with full tracking details of its arrival. I let them know to file a police report. They mentioned they called the carrier and that the carrier said I need to start a claim? It was an expensive item. Please advise Thank you

If it was stolen after delivery, there isn’t a claim to file with the carrier. The buyer files a police report, and then a claim with their home insurance.
Maybe you could do an online chat with the carrier so you can screen print it and send that to the buyer showing that the carrier says there is no claim to file.

·5 months agoDon’t bother. Once it’s delivered neither you or the carrier have any responsibility. The carrier will automatically deny the claim. It’s the buyer’s responsibility to have a safe, secure location to receive packages.
