buyers keep choosing media mail as shipping option for non qualifying items
I have had several buyers choose Media Mail since it's the cheapest option. Then the post office turns the package away and I, the seller, get stuck paying the additional shipping costs. How do I prevent this?

OP9 months agoI have no idea how this got changed. Is there a way for me to change this in settings so it doesn't keep happening and/or to change all of them without doing it individually?

Most of your listings show USPS Ground Advantage, there appears to be a subset with Media Mail.
It would be ideal if you could filter only the Media Mail listings to revise, but I don't see how to do that.
There is a way to bulk edit listings, although I'm not that familiar with it.
On your Active Listings page, click the Edit bubble at the top left column, then click "Edit all xxxx listings" in the drop down.
On the next screen - Revise listings - click the checkbox at the top of the listing to select them all.
Then click the Bulk Edit bubble drop down above that and select Domestic Shipping.
Go from there to select Calculated Shipping, USPS Ground, etc.

Stop offering Media Mail in your shipping options - you control that.
Double-check your listing drafts before submitting to be sure you didn't select Media Mail - I see it on 2 of your boot listings and the JCrew jacket.
If you're using "Sell similar" and just copying a prior listing, you're making the same mistake on each one.
Actually it appears most/or all of our jacket listings show Media Mail - you have some revising to do asap before you lose even more money.
You can change the shipping before you purchase & print the label - that's what you should be doing - not printing a Media Mail label when you know the item doesn't qualify.
