Buyers have the upper hand
Unfortunately as a seller I've been burned.
Buyers have the upper hand with requesting refunds on perfectly fine items.
Note: Lesson learned, take plenty of pictures of the items before posting in case they request a refund. You have proof of what you mailed to them.

Actually, no, you don't. What you would have is proof that you took some pictures. I can take pictures of a ferris wheel, but they don't prove that I mailed it to you.

·1 year agoWhat the condition of the item is when you mail it has no bearing on what the buyer receives.
Taking pictures will be of no use.

Since you say here that you opened the box AND tested the knife ... why would you say in the listing, "Box may have been opened just to look at" [emphasis mine]. The definition of 'New' includes the word 'unopened'.
Not saying the buyer isn't being picky ... but you deliberately concealed the fact that the box was, indeed, opened, which usually precludes it from being given as a gift.
I'm very sorry this happened, but you need to accept the return ... AND provide a prepaid shipping label if you want the item returned before issuing a refund.
BTW, we are NOT allowed to name & shame other members here. Please edit out the buyer's name before the moderator does it for you.

There was nothing wrong with it, I have 100% in reviews and don't sell items that have issues. But thanks for the heads up on not warning others with who the buyer is. I guess they will find out for themselves.
