Buyer won't reply to arrange local pick up
This is my first local pick up sale. It's a large item. Buyer paid $200 for it. I've messaged buyer three different times with no reply. Granted, it's only been four days since the purchase. But it's still strange that I haven't received a reply. Buyer lives states away, so I asked to make sure they were aware of the pick up location. How long am I required to hold on to this item for them? Can I cancel the order after a certain amount of time without being dinged if I don't hear anything back from the buyer? I'm trying to move, so holding on to a large item for an extended period of time is not something I want to do. I could sell it locally through another platform, and I wish now I had gone that route instead of listing it on here.

Since this was the Mother's Day weekend, maybe your buyer was away and hasn't been checking their ebay messages. You may hear from them today.
Did you include your contact info in the message you sent? If you tried to do that but saw a message saying contact info is not allowed to be sent, ignore that message. Local Pickup allows the message to go through, just click on send message again.
If your buyer doesn't have many feedback they may not have read the listing carefully and did not see Local Pickup only or if this is about the Lightning McQueen TV, that it was for parts or repair only.
You may want to message them again and ask if they want to cancel the transaction? If they do you can cancel it giving as the reason Buyer requested cancellation, and it will not affect your account.
If they do not respond or get back to you with contact information. You can cancel the transaction and refund the buyer.

This was a holiday weekend, so the Buyer may have been tied up.
For Local Pickup, I usually allow 10 days, or two weekends.
If you don't hear from them today, you could contact them one last time and say you need the item picked up by this coming weekend or you will need to refund and relist.
If refunding, use the reason Problem with Buyer's address.
