buyer with no history

Question

I just sold an item for $290 on 3/15/2026.

Buyer opened account 3/15/2026 so no history.

It is a irreplaceable item. I can send signature required.

Is there any other advice so as not to lose my item?

Can I cancel with no repercussions?

Buying signature confirmation when it's not required doesn't add to your protection, but it does inconvenience the buyer if he has to make a special trip to the post office to pick up the package.

@glassroses55 All Members start with zero feedback. If the buyer paid then you do need to ship.

You can not cancel the order without receiving a DEFECT on your account which seriously hurts the health of your account.

You can request a signature on delivery if you wish but keep in mind once tracking shows delivery the buyer can not file a not received refund request. The signature on delivery is only required by eBay for sales that are $750 or more to have proof of delivery.
