Buyer with (0) history
Summary: dreamitdiveitfindit is concerned about selling a coin worth $12,000 to a buyer with no purchase history on eBay. They are questioning the safety of the transaction using eBay's protocols, as previous experiences have involved delays in receiving payment even after the buyer confirmed receipt of the item. They seek reassurance about the reliability of eBay's process in such situations.
I have a buyer who has made an offer on a coin. $12,000.00. They have zero history. I typically do not sale to anyone with zero history. However, with EBAY protocols, is it safe? If I sale the item through EBAY, EBAY collects the money, I use an EBAY shipping label. The last time I sold an item like this EBAY held my money until the seller received the item and then it still took days to get the money. How safe is this? I don't want to get notice from EBAY that they can't release the money for any reason.

This listing shows that once the coin is sold, it first needs to go to a coin Authenticator. So you would be shipping to them.
Once the Authenticator approves the coin, they will ship to your Buyer. That will take time.
In the meantime, I can almost guarantee that those funds will be held.
