Buyer will not pay shipping cost after winning auction
Summary: linhuf3 is facing an issue with a buyer who refuses to pay the listed $10 UPS flat shipping fee after winning an auction, insisting on a lower amount of $3.50. linhuf3 had clearly stated the shipping fee in the item's description and is seeking advice on whether to cancel the order or report the buyer due to this payment dispute.
After winning an auction, the buyer messaged me and said they will not pay the amount listed in the auction for shipping. I wrote back explaining that I charge a $10 flat fee for UPS shipping no matter the location. The buyer responded again and said they think it should only be $3.50 at most and they will not pay $10. I clearly listed the $10 UPS flat shipping fee in the description of the item. How should I handle this? Should I just cancel the order when they buyer doesn't pay? Report the buyer?

Mentor2 weeks agoWhen a buyer does not pay, cancel the transaction after 4 days of non-payment have passed, specify "buyer didn't pay".
In Seller Hub, go to Orders.
Find the order you want to cancel, and from More actions, select Cancel order.
Select "buyer didn't pay" as the reason for the cancellation and then select Submit to finish.
All unpaid items are recorded on a buyer's account. Buyers who have excessive unpaid items, or canceled transactions, may have limits imposed, or lose their buying privileges.
Place the non-paying buyer on your Blocked Buyer List:
