Buyer wants to return

Question

I sold an estate watch. It is in excellent condition and the listing said that. (14k gold and diamonds) It doesn't run. I imagine it needs a battery. Buyer is saying "item not as described". Saying it is in excellent condition is accurate. Buyer wants partial refund. Thoughts? Attempt to get cheaper price?

You are not obligated to provide a partial refund.

If the buyer files an Ebay Return Request with a valid reason per the Ebay Money Back Guarantee ("item not as described"), you will be required to accept the return request.

In the listing you made no mention that the watch was not working, therefore the buyer has a legitimate complaint.
